Frequently Asked Questions
Open iT LicenseAnalyzer™ collects usage from 100+ license managers into one reporting environment, so FlexNet, Dassault Systemes DSLS, RLM, LM-X and Sentinel RMS data sit side by side. Open iT CLIMS™ adds one browser portal to run the servers themselves for 12 license managers: start and stop servers, edit options files, read logs and revoke licenses without logging in to each server.
Set alerts on the denials themselves. CLIMS sends email alerts when users are denied on FlexNet, DSLS and RLM servers, and can route alerts to a Microsoft Teams channel through a webhook. The real-time License Monitor shows current checkouts across all servers. Denial Reports then show the pattern by user, feature and hour, which tells you whether to add seats or release idle ones.
CLIMS monitors license expiration on all 12 license managers it supports, and LicenseAnalyzer's Feature Expiry Report lists each feature with its expiry date and days remaining. Renewals become a calendar entry instead of a Monday-morning outage.
Yes. Open iT runs on-premises, in the cloud or hybrid. Version 10.2 added Azure SQL Server and Azure Analysis Services support, so the analysis layer can run fully in Azure. Sign-in uses SSO over SAML 2.0 with Microsoft Entra ID or Okta, the Ingress component uses HTTPS by default, and Open iT holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification.
Size to active use, not to installs or checkouts. GreenIT measured active versus installed usage with Open iT and cut its workstations from 357 to 50, a 70% cost reduction. The same reports (concurrent peaks, denials, active versus idle time) export to Power BI, Excel or Tableau, and can be combined with Microsoft SCCM/MECM inventory data.
